All Hisense Smart TVs have a default remote control to operate your set. However, it may fail to work at times due to some bugs or temporary issues. To overcome the situation, we can reset the remote control and pair it with your Hisense TV. Although the remote control varies from one variant to another, the process will take less than two minutes. In this guide, we have provided the reset steps for all remote controls.
Note – Before starting the reset process, ensure your remote control or its buttons are not damaged and that the batteries are new.
How to Reset Basic Hisense TV Remote Control
Using the following points, you can factory reset the normal remote controls of Hisense TVs running Android, Google, Roku & VIDAA OS.
1. First, open the battery compartment of your Hisense TV remote at the back.
2. Take out the batteries and leave it idle for a while. Then, press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds and release it.
3. Now, press all the buttons on your remote at least once. Now, your Hisense TV remote has been reset.
4. If the remote’s exterior and battery slot are dirty, clean them with a soft & thin cloth. Avoid using water for cleaning.
5. After that, insert the batteries back and turn on your Hisense Smart TV. Now, press any button on the remote, and it will work fine.
How to Reset Hisense Fire TV Remote
The remote control of Hisense Fire TV comes in two different models, and the resetting method for each is given below.
Basic Model Remote
1. Undo the connections of your Hisense Fire TV first.
2. Then, hold the following buttons for about 20 seconds: Left navigation, Menu & Back.
3. Now, take your hands from the buttons and remove the remote batteries.
4. Connect your Hisense TV to the power supply again and insert the remote batteries back into the compartment. Thus, the remote control has been reset.
5. You can press the Home button now, and the remote will get paired with the Hisense Fire TV, indicated by a blinking blue LED.
Alexa Voice Remote
1. Unplug the TV from the power socket and press the Left navigation and Menu button on the remote.
2. After about 10 seconds, release the buttons and take out the batteries from the slot.
3. Plug in the TV to the power source again, and you’ll get the remote can’t be detected message on-screen, which means you have reset the remote.
4. You can re-pair it with Hisense Fire TV by holding the Home button.
How to Reset Hisense Roku TVs Enhanced Voice Remote
1. Remove the remote’s batteries from the slot. Parallelly, unplug the Hisense Roku TV from the socket.
2. After about 10 minutes, make the connections back and turn on the Hisense TV.
3. While the TV boots up, press and hold the Pairing button on the remote just near the battery area or on its cover. You can now see the LED light of the remote flashing, indicating the resetting is done and it is ready for re-pairing.
4. Now, press the Pairing button again. Bring the remote closer to the TV while the green light flashes.
5. The Pairing remote message will appear, and the connection between both devices will begin.
How to Reset Hisense Xumo TV Remote
1. Press and hold the Left navigation and Volume Up button until your remote’s LED light changes to green color.
2. Now, press the number 9, 8 & 4 buttons, and you’ll see the red light blink & go off. This means your remote is reset.
3. Press the Home button to pair again.
4. In case you are using a Hisense Xumo TV voice remote, press the Cogwheel button → select the Pair your remote to your TV option for pairing.
FAQ
When you are unable to make your Hisense TV remote work normally after resetting, use the RemoteNOW app to control the TV until the original remote is repaired.
