How to Reset Hisense Smart TV Without Remote
If your remote control is broken or missing, you can use the physical buttons, the Reset button, and the Hisense TV remote app (RemoteNOW) to control your TV and perform resetting.
Using Reset Button on TV Unit
Hisense TVs with the Roku and Android OS have a Reset button on their unit. You can use it to reset your Hisense TV with a black screen or without a picture on it.
- Locate the Reset button/pinhole of your Hisense TV on its back side.
- Press this button and stay for a while till the TV displays its logo, indicating the resetting process has begun.
With RemoteNOW App
The Hisense TV remote app, called RemoteNOW, can control all Hisense TV OS models. The app can function only when the same WIFI connection is established between it and the TV. So, if your TV already has a WiFi network saved, it will automatically connect to that network when turned on. Then, you can connect your smartphone to the same network and pair it with Hisense TV to reset it.
- Go to the App Store or Play Store on your mobile and download the RemoteNOW app.
- Open the app and accept all the terms of usage. Then, click on the Select option and scan the available devices near you.
- Among them, choose your Hisense TV, and the pairing will be successful.
- Now, open the app’s virtual remote interface. Use the Navigation button and OK button to reach the respective options to reset your Hisense TV.
Using Physical Buttons
This method suits only quite old model Hisense TVs with the Physical buttons on their unit. With this method, you can omit using the on-screen menu on Settings.
- While the TV is ON, click on the Menu button.
- In the on-screen menu that appears, scroll up and down using the Vol+ and Vol – buttons. Select the Self Diagnosis option by pressing the Menu button again.
- On the next screen, choose the Reset option and your TV will start resetting.
Solutions for Problems That Occur While or After Resetting Hisense TV
- If the Reset option on your Hisense TV is greyed out, restart and get it back.
- Suppose the resetting process is not initiating, check the stability of the power supply and the condition of the power socket you have connected the TV with. If there is any problem, fix it.
- If some features of Hisense TV are not working after resetting, go to the Settings menu and ensure to enable or customize them from the beginning.
- Since you have lost all the data, you have to re-login to any app you have streamed on your Hisense TV previously to use it now. So, don’t mistake it as an issue.
