Any user who has set up the new Hisense TV for the first time after an upgrade needs guidance to access its different functionalities, and I’ve been constantly delivering them through this blog. This article is one more addition and provides instructions for users who don’t know how to close apps on Hisense TV. So, without further delay, jump into this guide.
Different Ways to Close Apps on Hisense TV
There are actually three ways available to close apps on your Hisense Smart TV. I have elaborated them in the following points for your reference.
- Exit Option on the App: While you are within any app, take Prime Video on Hisense TV, for example, and pick up the remote control. Then, press the Back button. Now, you’ll get a pop-up asking, ‘Do you want to exit Prime Video?‘ Select the Exit option, and your Hisense TV will close the app. The same steps are applicable if you are using a replacement remote for your Hisense TV as well.
Note: The Exit option is available under different names on each Hisense TV model. However, the procedure to access it is the same as mentioned above.
- Voice Control: If you have enabled the voice assistant feature, you can press the Mic button and say, “Exit/close Prime Video (any app).” Your Hisense TV will listen to your command and close the app. Suppose you have paired a smart speaker with the integration of virtual assistants, like Google Assistant/Alexa on Hisense TV. You can close any app by commanding it using just your voice.
- Remote App: Is the RemoteNOW app paired with your TV? Then, closing any app that is running just requires a finger tap! Access the remote interface of the Hisense TV remote app and tap the Exit option. Then, choose OK, and it’s done.
How to Disable Apps on Hisense TV
Some apps on your Hisense TV might have a lot of background activity, and they’ll be carried out even after you close those apps. This might lead to internet data loss and sometimes slow down the TV if it has less storage space left. So, you should disable such apps. The guidance on the process is provided in this section.
- Hisense Fire TV: Choose the Settings option and navigate to the Applications tile. Click on Manage Installed Applications and select the required app. Now, press the remote’s Menu button and choose Force Stop on-screen.
- Hisense VIDAA TV: Click the remote’s Home button and select the Apps option. Highlight a particular app and hold the OK button on the remote. Finally, choose Info → Force Stop/Disable.
- Hisense Android & Google TV: On the Settings menu, click on the Apps option. Highlight the app you want to close from the Apps list that opens up. Then, click the OK button on the remote. Select the Force Stop/Disable option & choose OK to disable the app’s functioning.
