Besides thousands of supported apps and modish functionalities, like game mode on your Hisense TV, there are a lot more hidden features available. You can explore them by entering Developer mode on Hisense TV. This mode allows you to test-run apps, monitor app performance, and execute advanced debugging.
If you are ready to access the unique features and apps on your Hisense TV at your own risk, follow the guidance in this article.
Enable Developer Mode on Supported Hisense TVs
I have curated the method to bring different Hisense TV models into developer mode and presented them in separate headings, as given below.
Hisense Google TV
- Choose the Profile icon and head to the Settings option.
- Select About and scroll to the bottom of that section.
- Navigate to the Android TV OS build option and tap it 7 times consecutively.
- After you see the You are now a developer notification, return to the Settings screen and select Developer options.
- Turn on the toggle switch of Enable developer options, and you are all set.
Hisense Roku TV
- Take your Hisense Roku TV remote control.
- Press the Home button 3 times and the Up button 2 times.
- Then, press the navigation buttons of Right, Left, Right, Left & Right in the same order each for 1 time. This remote shortcut will take you to the Developer Settings secret menu.
- You’ll get a link and username there. Note it down.
- Select the Enable Installer and restart option on-screen and click Continue on the warning screen.
- Accept the Developer Tools License Agreement by selecting I Agree.
- Confirm the process by selecting Enable installer and restart once again and restart your Hisense TV.
- Then, take a mobile/PC and browse the link that appeared on the TV. Once loaded, it will ask for the username & password. Type it & tap Sign In.
- Now, you can select the Installer tab to install and access any third-party apps on your Hisense TV using its squashfs or zip file.
Hisense Android TV
- Choose the Device Preferences option from the Settings menu of your Hisense Android TV.
- Click on the Build option at the bottom 7 times. The You are now a developer message will appear if you do it right.
- Upon seeing that, come back to Device Preferences and click on Developer options.
- Finally, tap the Enable developer option‘s toggle. Turn on the USB debugging toggle if you are going to sideload an APK file using a pen drive.
Hisense Fire TV
- Select the Cogwheel icon and choose the My Fire TV tile down under.
- Then, click the About option and select your Hisense Fire TV name at the top. Click on it 7 times continuously until you see “No need, you are already a developer.”
- After that, go to the Developer Options in the About section.
- Turn on the ADB debugging option, and you have enabled the Developer mode on Hisense Fire TV.
